The After

Do you remember the before? Probably not since I posted it last year around this time. I wanted to test out the new set-up to see how I liked before I posted again on the reorganization. And then, as usual, things got messy in the process of creation. Honestly, I don't think there is a way to avoid the mess. I think it's a reflection of my brain at work and apparently that ain't pretty or tidy. So unless I change the brain, I think I''ll have to live with a little chaos. The bright side of it all is that things are so much less crazy than before. And so much easier to put in order when I get around to it.

Check this out...

Chad built these pattern drawers. Now I actually put my patterns away and can find them easily rather than digging through a huge pile and searching in frustration. It's on wheels so I can roll it to the end of my cut out table to add a little length when needed.

Here are two more that create another work table when rolled together.

We also added more task lighting and improved the overhead lighting as well.

All in all, I think I'm getting more work done in a more efficient matter. I'm less frustrated which helps with the creative flow and I don't trip over things quite as often which is good for my health :)

Thank you, thank you, thank you to the hubs and his organizational prowess, skill and craftsmanship!!!

New Dresses for Summer

I finally got to do do the photo shoot for the new dresses today. Thank you to my adorable friend Jenn for modeling :) I am so excited about all of these! They're all crying out for a space in my closet and I can't decide which one gets to stay with me. I know, terrible problem to have, right? Which is your favorite?

Traveling Trunk Show

I just arrived back home from my trunk show tour. I was having so much fun and such great conversations that I didn't manage to get many photos at the actual events but here are a few snapshots from the trip.

On my way.

Tasty, a hand made wonderland in Greenwood, hosted the first show. If you ever need a gift for that hard to buy for person, this is the place to shop!

Sheri, my host, in a vintage Melanie Grace Design.

The ferry to Whidbey Island.

Next stop Newport. Here's Katy catching some rays during our beach hike. She's the best host EVER! I'm tempted to move in :)

It was such a gorgeous day and the tide was out so of course we thought we could go forever.
Oops, we got caught on the wrong side of a point when the tide came back in!

The sea lions were out too, napping in the sun.

Thank you so much to all the of the fabulous women who came to the shows and shared their stories. I'm feeling inspired by you all, refreshed by the getaway and ready to get back to work! I needed that!
